Carl Zeiss produces a series of lenses with very high light efficiency, large image circles and extraordinary contrast performance. All types provide a first-class mechanic and an internal lens system completely based on glass. The full-metal focus adjustment guarantees a precise and smooth-running use.

Beside the standard lenses there are also special versions available for industrial applications. These types out of the ZF-I series are suitable to be used in harsh environments and are e.g. specially protected against splash water and dust. The iris and focus alignment can be fixed. For this all lenses are supplied with five fixing screws, which can be used to secure the needed settings. Beside the classic image capturing typical applications include also quality control, close range photogrammetry and the complete area of machine vision.

For special applications in the infrared region the lenses of the ZF-IR series were developed. Here the internal used lenses are specially coated, so that they can be used with wavelenghts up to 1100nm. The focus range was of course adapted to this extended spectral range.

Due to their large image circle (up to an diagonal of 43mm) these lenses are very suitable to be used with line scan cameras and larger martix sensors. EURECA offers here some suitable cameras for applications in research and industry.
