CCD Linear Sensors by NEC

NEC offers a wide range of CCD linear sensors, which are easy to operate due to on-chip drivers and clock generators. Besides monochrome linear sensors high-resolution colour sensors are available. They consist of three parallel linear CCD lines that are coated with filters for the three fundamental colours. In contract to many other manufacturers of CCD sensors, NEC offers some sensors, which provide a remarkable long sensor length. With such sensors larger documents can be scanned without an additional optic to reduce the image. At present EURECA MESSTECHNIK is a free reseller for these products and is not bounded to any contracts with the official distributors.

Some sensors can be supplied without cover glass. This is e.g. necessary, if filters or fiber optics are to be put on the sensor. On request we supply also the sensors with a new cover as e.g.

• quartz window (for applications with UV light)
• Interference filters (e.g. for special laser lines)
• IR cut off filter (in order to avoid false colours in outdoor applications at sun light)
• IR filters (for applications with IR lighting)

In order to reduce the dark noise of the sensors, we recommend the use of our specially developed peltier elements for linear sensors.
