CCD Linear Sensors by TOSHIBA

CMOS-Logo

Similar to SONY and NEC, TOSHIBA offers a range of CCD linear sensors for applications, which require a low or medium signal quality. Beside monochrome linear sensors, there are also high resolution colour sensors available, which consists of three or even more parallel pixel lines and respective RGB filters.

EURECA Messtechnik buys these components at the official german distributors. Due to the high bought volumes, we can offer these sensors for very good prices also in lower quantities.

If the sensors provide a glass cover we offer also the service of removing this cover. This is e.g. necessary, if special filters or a fiber optic should be put directly onto the sensor.

You can find a list of sensors, which are not produced any more on our page with obsolete sensors

For some of the listed sensors on this page we can supply also an USB camera board.

All these sensors can be delivered also without the standard glass cover. By this reflexions caused by the glass cover can be avoided. Also the spectral sensitivity of the sensor can so be slightly improved. Sensors without glass cover have the additional designation "-X" (TCD1201DG-X, TCD1205DG-X and TCD1304DG-X).

Colour Sensors

CCD color sensors are suitable for the scanning of coloured objects or documents. As accessory, we offer also filters, which enhance the reproduction of colors, in case of difficult situations. At applications outside, there are often, for example, colors distortions by the high IR-proportion of the sunlight. By using of corresponding filters, this can be avoided.

There are new leadless (PB-free) versions of the TOSHIBA sensors available, which fullfill the RHoS standard. These new types are designated with an additional "G", as e.g. TCD1205DG. The optical and electrical specifications of the older and the newer sensor versions are however the same.

The data rate indicates, with which rate the analog sensor signal can be read out.

The sensitivity of a CCD sensor indicates which output in volts is produced by a pixel after an exposure duration of one second with a density of light of one lux. This value depends apart from the pixel area also on the internal amplification of the output drivers.

The dynamic value gives referring to the resolution, which one can expect after a conversion of the output signal with an analog/digital converter.

The line length in the following table indicates the length of the photo-sensitive CCD lines of the sensor (number of pixels × pixel length) and not the mechanical length of the sensor housing.
